How many times have you tasted the pan di stelle cake and found it delicious? Do you want to try serving it at Christmas to your friends and loved ones with a very nice (and simple to prepare) variant? Here is the recipe for the "homemade" pan di stelle cake!
Recipe for the “homemade” pan di stelle cake
The ingredients to prepare this delicious, very Christmassy recipe are:
- 400 grams of pan di stelle biscuits (or similar)
- 400ml fresh cream
- 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar
- Our cocoa
- 150 ml of fresh milk and bitter cocoa.
The preparation of the pan di stelle cake recipe requires a 22cm mold to be lined with baking paper. For the "dough", immerse the biscuits individually in a bowl (into which you have previously poured the fresh milk at room temperature) and arrange them on the bottom of the mold until they cover the bottom. Now use the cocoa which, once processed, can be used to pour it onto the biscuit layer you have made. Next, whip the cream together with two teaspoons of icing sugar and pour it evenly over the cocoa state. Repeat the operation, alternating a layer of biscuits with one of cocoa and whipped cream until you reach the edge of the pan. Let the completed cake rest in the fridge for about two hours. Once the cake has become nice and compact, prepare a tray or the plate with which you want to serve it and gently take the cake out of the mold. Decorate the cake with a sprinkling of bitter cocoa and with unsoaked pan di stelle biscuits here and there over the entire surface. Et voilà, dessert is served!
