Everyone likes cocoa, young and old. We show you a recipe specifically designed to combine the taste of this ingredient with that of vanilla in a delicious dessert to be served in cups.
To make cocoa cups for four people you must have at home
- 1/2 liter of milk
- Sugar (You need 4 tablespoons)
- 1 vanilla pod
- Cornstarch (2 tablespoons)
- Cocoa (4 tablespoons)
- 2 eggs
- Whipped cream
- Candied cherries
- Silver confetti
Procedure
- Once you have obtained what you need, pour the milk (except 4 tablespoons) into a saucepan, adding the vanilla pod cut lengthwise and the sugar, bringing everything to the boil.
- Dissolve the corn starch in the milk kept aside, remove the container from the heat and stir in the corn starch mix and the cocoa sifted in a sieve and cook for another 6 minutes over low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon.
- Shell the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Off the heat, add the egg yolks to the cream, one at a time. Then bring the mixture to the boiling point, turn off the heat and let it cool.
- In the meantime, whip the egg whites until stiff, gently incorporate them into the cream, mixing from bottom to top and divide it into 4 glass cups.
- Distribute a few silver sprinkles on top, decorate with tufts of whipped cream, place 1 or 2 candied cherries and bring to the table.
