Hazelnut cream tart
The hazelnut cream tart is a delicious dessert, simple and quick to make, suitable for a tasty breakfast. Are you ready to wake up your home with the scent of hazelnut cream? We give you the doses for a 24 cm tart with a low level of difficulty and a preparation time of 30 minutes.
The ingredients for the hazelnut cream tart shortcrust pastry are
- 3 egg yolks
- 150 grams of icing sugar
- 250 grams of butter
- 450 grams of flour
- 1 tablespoon instant baking powder
- The grated zest of an untreated lemon and our hazelnut cream.
The ingredients to fill the soft hazelnut cream tart are: our hazelnut cream and 40 grams of crunchy chopped hazelnuts for decoration.
Preparation of the hazelnut cream tart
- Put the cold butter cut into cubes and the flour into the mixer
- Knead until you obtain a grainy mixture
- Add the icing sugar and continue kneading
- Add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing until you obtain a soft and homogeneous mixture
- Wrap the pastry obtained in transparent film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 40 minutes
- Cut about ¼ of the dough to keep for the final covering
- Cover the cake pan with baking paper
- Shape the pastry with your hands so that it adheres well to both the bottom and the sides of the pan. Don't create too double a layer of pastry or our hazelnut cream tart will be too thin
- Poke small holes in the dough with a fork
- Spread the hazelnut cream evenly to your liking
- Cover the tart with the shortcrust pastry strips you saved
- Add the chopped hazelnuts as an ornament
- Bake for about 50 minutes at 180° C
- Once the cake is out of the oven, let it cool a little.
