Making ice cream on a stick is absolutely not a feat for titans, you don't need an ice cream maker and it can be done quickly and easily, as well as being fun to prepare together with the little ones at home.

We give you three basic ideas for making your own ice cream on a stick, but know that you can indulge yourself and create the ice cream of the flavor you prefer! In addition to the ingredients we will mention, you can also use spreadable creams and ice cream pastes to give them particular and delicious flavours, icings to cover them in a smooth and shiny way, chopped pistachios and hazelnuts to decorate them and many other ingredients!

Ice cream on a stick with yogurt and fruit

One of the best allies against the summer heat is certainly yogurt, excellent to enjoy for breakfast and as a snack, but also the perfect ingredient for many summer desserts. Yogurt and fresh fruit are, in fact, the most used ingredients in summer to make cold cakes, semifreddos, cheesecakes and desserts.
Yogurt and fruit ice cream on a stick is certainly the easiest to prepare. Let's see together how to make it!

Ingredients:

  • 250g of plain or fruit yogurt
  • 100g of fresh fruit cut into very small pieces
  • 50g sugar
  • A cup of lemon juice
  • A glass of skimmed milk

Procedure:

  1. Pour the yogurt, fresh fruit, sugar, lemon juice and milk into a bowl. Mix the ingredients well with an electric whisk to obtain a velvety cream.
  2. Pour the cream into an ice lolly mold, making sure each tray fills halfway.
  3. Place the mold in the freezer for about an hour, just enough time for the ice cream to harden a little.
  4. Remove the mold from the freezer and fill the trays up to the edge, insert the stick and leave to freeze for about 2 hours.

With these doses you will get approximately 10 ice creams. Store your ice cream on a stick, yogurt and fruit for no more than a week in the freezer.

Ice cream on a stick with coffee and cream

For lovers of coffee desserts, here is the recipe you have been waiting for: coffee and cream ice cream on a stick!

Ingredients:

  • 500ml of fresh sweetened cream
  • 100ml of coffee
  • 50g dark chocolate chips
  • Two teaspoons of honey

Procedure:

  1. Prepare the coffee and let it cool down thoroughly. In the meantime, put the cream in a cold container, add the two teaspoons of honey and whip until stiff. Divide the mixture into two bowls: pour three-quarters of the cream into the first, the remaining part into the second.
  2. Pour the coffee into the first bowl and mix with the whisk. Add the chocolate flakes and mix everything with a marisa, making movements from top to bottom, so as not to dismantle the cream.
  3. Fill the ice lolly mold by alternately pouring the cream and the coffee cream you have prepared.
  4. Insert the sticks and let the ice creams rest on the stick in the freezer for about 4-6 hours. With these doses you will get approximately 10 ice creams. Once ready, you can decide to glaze them with chocolate icing and decorate them with chopped hazelnuts. Coffee and cream ice creams on a stick, unlike those with yogurt and fresh fruit, can be stored for up to 60 days without any problem !


Penguin or cremino: the most loved ice cream on a stick!

Penguin ice cream (or cremino) is the ice cream of our childhood, capable of bringing back many summer memories, full of emotions and healthy fun. Preparing it at home is very simple, let's see how!

Ingredients:

Four ice creams on a stick of different flavors

  • 500ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 150ml fresh cream

  • 100g sugar

For coverage:

250g of Stracciatella Pasta (Pinguina Covering)

Procedure:

  1. Pour the cream, sugar, milk and vanilla pod into a saucepan and bring everything to the boil, stirring so that the cream does not stick to the pan.
  2. When the cream starts to boil, remove it from the heat and cool it in a bain-marie in a bowl filled with ice and cold water.
  3. Pour the cream into the ice cream molds on a stick, insert the sticks and let it freeze for a few hours in the freezer.
  4. When the cream has hardened, remove the penguins from the freezer and dip them in dark or white chocolate, previously melted in a bain-marie.
  5. Place them in the freezer for a couple of hours on a flat surface.

With these doses you will get approximately 6 ice creams on a stick. Instead of chocolate, you can use ready-made chocolate icing. You can decorate your penguins with chopped hazelnuts and pistachios.
